We are looking for a Pasteurization Technician with reliable attendance, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Pasteurizers are responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to ensure the safe and efficient processing of products in compliance with food safety standards and company protocols. Success in this role will require strong attention to detail, an ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent problem solving and communication skills.

• Work competently with machinery including a pasteurizer, ultrafiltration system, reverse osmosis system, clean in place system silos and vats
• Manage milk deliveries with minimal downtime and waste
• Maintain strict hygiene standards by properly cleaning and sanitizing equipment with approved chemical processes and protocols
• Ensure all products meet our company’s high-quality standards through monitoring and documentation
• Accurately prepare and add cultures and rennet according to product specifications and food safety standards
• Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping in support of traceability, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and food safety regulations
• Maintain professional, reliable, and respectful relationships in the workplace, adding to our positive and productive workplace culture
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, quality assurance and managerial departments in the cheese-making process

• Minimum high school diploma and/or relevant food or dairy processing experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including excellent sanitary habits
• Knowledge of HACCP and HTST pasteurizing systems as applied to a dairy processing plant an asset
• Milk and cream Graders’ Certificate and HTST pasteurizer course will be pursued when available
• Must be willing to work on most statutory holidays and some weekends
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication skills, including written and verbal
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting abilities
• Must have reliable attendance
• Capable of following company procedures and completing requires documentation
• Must complete all necessary training requirements within reasonable timeframe
