As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will focus on patient stabilization and treatment within the adult psychiatry unit. Ideal candidates have at least three years of relevant nursing experience, effective communication skills, and current RPN registration. Your proficiency in psychopharmacology and crisis intervention will play a crucial role in patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat patients within the unit
• Work closely with healthcare professionals
• Administer medications and monitor effects
• Utilize de-escalation techniques with patients
• Educate patients on health and mental wellness
Requirements:
• Valid RPN registration with the College of Nurses
• Three years in psychiatric nursing
• Mental Health Nursing certificate
• BCLS certification upon hire
• Flexible availability for 12-hour shifts
