Security Guard - Beaverton

Allied Universal is a leading security and facility services provider in North America with approximately 300,000 service personnel.

We are looking for a Security Guard in Beaverton, Ontario.

Full-time

$17.60 per hour

Monday – Friday 16:00 – 23:59

Provide constant surveillance, protection, and a visible security presence within the client’s site. This role involves standing for extended periods—often for 8 hours or more during a shift.

• Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
• Maintain a visible security presence by staying stationed at a fixed location within the retail premises to deter theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activities.
• Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.
• Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
• Assist customers and staff by providing directions, answering safety-related questions, and offering assistance as needed, without disrupting operations.
• Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

• 1–2 years of experience in a security sector.
• Valid Ontario Security License.
• At least 18 years old.
• Eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
