- Hold a post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or other related field from an Ontario post-secondary institution
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Knowledge and skills in the Long Term Care sector
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work under direction
- Knowledge and skill in a variety of recreational activities
