This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FP&A leader to join Calnex Solutions and play a key role in shaping and supporting the financial planning and strategic direction of the business as it grows and diversifies into new markets. Reporting directly to the CFO, the role will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, providing the insight and challenge needed to support key commercial and investment decisions.

With broad exposure across the organisation, the role will partner with leaders across Sales, Operations, R&D, Products and Marketing, helping to drive performance, support growth initiatives and influence long‑term strategy.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial planning and forecasting by owning the annual budget, reforecasting processes and long-term financial planning activities.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the business to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions and support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive commercial performance through insightful analysis of revenue, profitability, cash flow and key business drivers.
  • Provide trusted support to the CFO, SLT and Board through high-quality reporting, financial modelling and performance commentary.
  • Develop reporting and KPI frameworks that enhance visibility, improve decision‑making and support business growth.
  • Business partner across Sales, Operations, R&D and Product Management, helping evaluate commercial opportunities, major investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Support growth and innovation programmes by providing financial input on new product development, ROI analysis and long‑term business plans.
  • Contribute to investor, shareholder and Board reporting, delivering clear financial narratives and actionable insights.
  • Lead continuous improvement across FP&A, enhancing processes, systems, reporting capabilities and the use of data and AI tools.
  • Develop people and capability within the function, including coaching and mentoring the Data Analyst while fostering a commercially focused, data-driven culture.
Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering experience
  • Proven experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decision‑making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage non‑finance audiences
  • Experience presenting financial performance and business insights to senior leadership teams
  • Strong analytical capability and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Experience with Power BI, planning and reporting tools
  • Experience applying AI and automation tools to improve finance processes and insights
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing finance professionals
