Temp Test Technician

£14.50 per hour – temporary until 31 March 2026 – Linlithgow based.

This is an urgent temporary role. The Test Technician supports the Production Release testing of one of our clients' pieces of network and telecommunications test equipment. The tasks include visual inspection, testing to the defined test procedure, recording of test results and the generation of the test certificate. This supports the delivery of a significant order for a key customer in a relatively short period of time.

• Participate in the daily Production 'stand‑up' meeting, providing updates on test progress.
• Record test progress within the manufacturing execution system.
• Conduct visual inspection of the instrument to ensure cosmetic compliance with the required standard.
• Programme and configure the instrument to the current Production Release standard.
• Test the instrument following the steps detailed in the Production Release test procedure.
• Record test results within the Production Test certificate.
• Conduct pre‑shipping quality inspection routine.
• Complete pre‑shipping test documentation.
• Maintain work area to the current 5S standard.

• Previous production test experience.
• Basic IT and systems proficiency.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow processes and H&S requirements.
• Team‑oriented with a proactive approach.
• Good communication skills.
