The Hobby Sales Business Development Specialist will open new business to business customers by generating leads and introducing prospective customers to the asmodee portfolio. Market focus will be on hobby retailers and bookstores. Opportunity to work with a category‐leading supplier and assist with best‑in‑class retail execution.

What will your role involve
  • Generate hobby sales leads through market research and validation of opportunities
  • Make effective introductory calls and sales pitches
  • Present our best‑selling products and channel appropriate portfolio to buyers
  • Overcome potential objections and articulate value proposition
  • Open new accounts by asking for and closing the sale
  • Initiate customer onboarding process, including full review of vendor guide
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to assess ability to meet customers’ requirements
  • Transition new accounts efficiently to ensure customers have clear expectations and understanding of services
  • Understand products with sufficient depth to discuss product offerings with prospects and present our best sellers to customers
  • All other duties as assigned by management and sales manager

Position Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to research independently and be able to explain various products/product lines
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and individuals
  • Friendly demeanor: ability to make customer feel valued

Education/Experience

  • 1‑3 years sales and/or customer service experience preferred; not required.
  • Consumer product experience preferred but not required

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job‑related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base salary range: $60,000 – $65,000.
