Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking candidates for the position of Principal / Sr. Principal Factory Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer Lead to support advanced technology development programs. This position is located at the Linthicum, MD location. This position requires full-time onsite work at our Linthicum, MD location.
What You’ll Get To Do- Plan and support the setup and integration of a manufacturing execution system (MES) for a new superconducting electronics wafer fabrication line.
- Maintain awareness of MES setup and integration schedule risk and proactively escalate risk to team leads as required.
- Create detailed end-user requirements and acceptance test plans, while leveraging experience and business processes from semiconductor manufacturing organizations.
- Partner with an industry-leading vendor in setting up an MES to support a new wafer fab manufacturing line.
- Collaborate with the vendor on deploying manufacturing master data modeling architectures and Best-Known Methods (BKMs).
- Apply systems engineering best practices, principles, and concepts to architectures within a manufacturing context.
- Work collaboratively with other experienced team members.
- A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD
- Experience working with or drafting Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors.
- Extensive experience planning, executing, and integrating schedules.
- Demonstrated experience communicating up, down, and across teams in a large organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineers towards a technical product deliverable.
- Experience interacting with vendors to deliver SW systems for semiconductor fabrication.
- Demonstrated experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab.
- Understands data relationships between products, plans, recipes, and varying levels of manufacturing containers (lots, wafers, die, etc.).
- Experience with core data groups in MES systems (equipment, products, consumables, etc.).
- Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
- Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements
- A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 8 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 4 years of experience with a PhD
- Experience working with or drafting Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors.
