The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in the manufacturing of highly engineered rotational equipment. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, workflows and physical work cells to enhance efficiencies while also working to reduce waste, improve product quality and enhance workplace safety. The qualified candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including production, quality, engineering, continuous improvement, and facilities.
Responsibilities include researching, designing, and developing new equipment, systems, standard operating procedures, and solutions to support new product introduction and existing product optimization, while also working to address production constraints related to processes and tooling.
Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles and 80/20 tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Evaluates manufacturing processes based on cycle time, TAKT time, and quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed; manages process‑improvement projects
Designs tools, fixtures and machines used to assemble, manufacture and inspect products.
Develop and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures for air blower assembly and production.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products, providing input on design changes to improve production efficiency using lean thinking and methodology.
Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for production equipment and tooling.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle times, downtime, and defect rates to identify improvement opportunities.
Sources and plans: installs new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery
Train and support production staff on new processes, equipment, and technologies.
Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and partners with manufacturer to support equipment repair
Develops and implements manufacturing, production and ISO certification procedures and processes
Assists with EH&S projects to maintain a safe manufacturing environment.
Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes
Performs other duties as assigned within scope of position.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering; post graduate degree a plus
3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Well versed in equipment production and assembly environment
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma/KANBAN or Kaizen methodology.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
Experience of safety and regulatory standards related to manufacturing
Knowledge with modeling and design (e.g., Creo Parametric or Solid Works)
Experience with PLC programming, controls…
