Role Overview

As a Controls Project Manager 4, you will act as the on-site project leader for assigned control systems projects. You will plan, execute, and complete work that may include hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned control systems projects from planning through commissioning, closeout, and warranty support.
  • Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and system and network commissioning.
  • Manage project costs, billings, collections, profitability, and cash flow for assigned work.
  • Maintain communication with customers throughout all phases of the project and pursue change orders when scope changes arise.
  • Direct subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administrative support as needed.
  • Manage material selection, ordering, budgeting, and delivery schedules for project procurement.
  • Secure pricing and availability from vendors, suppliers, and mechanical and electrical subcontractors.
  • Oversee jobsite coordination for panel and field device locations and ensure installation aligns with project requirements.
  • Complete loading, device verification, commissioning, and validation of system controllers.
  • Provide accurate as-built records, commissioning documentation, manuals, and owner/operator training as required.
  • Support subcontractor payment, billing, and project closeout activities.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate resources, and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
How You Will Do It
  • Own outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity by managing scope, schedule, quality, and financial results from kickoff through warranty completion.
  • Stay close to the work by coordinating field details, resolving commissioning issues quickly, and ensuring installation meets project expectations.
  • Use candor and continuous problem-solving to surface risks early, address change impacts clearly, and keep projects moving forward.
  • Win as one team by building strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, technicians, designers, and internal partners.
  • Focus on what matters by removing obstacles, maintaining clear priorities, and keeping communication practical and timely.
  • Provide coaching and technical assistance so delegated work is completed accurately, on time, within scope, and within budget.
