Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is looking for Manager Programs 3, to support our Airborne Surveillance Business Unit onsite in
Linthicum, Maryland.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the E-2D Production Programs portfolio. This position will report directly to the Airborne Multi-mission Platform (AMMP) Operating Unit Director
. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.
Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems.
What You’ll Get To Do:- Provide profit and loss leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering for LRU performance
- Measure and report program performance
- Development and adherence to master plans and schedules
- Establish a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations
- Lead direct reports and cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
- Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the government community
- Deliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
- Establish and manage program and subordinate baselines
- Identify, allocate and manage program resources, including workforce planning
- Manage suppliers to meet program objectives
- Ensure program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
- Leverage interpersonal skills to manage daily team battle rhythm and recurring joint government meetings (to include status, awareness and escalations)
- Strengthening communications with stakeholders and cultivate a culture of transparency
- Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization
- Be able to obtain additional program access
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or program management, OR Masters and 6 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or program management.
