Role Responsibilities:

* Uses education and experience to design develop, code, test, and debug software utilizing C#, Java, Python and/or PHP languages. Experience architecting, implementing, and deploying cloud native solutions. Supports moving existing applications to cloud environments.

* Works with product owner, project manager, and software engineers to interpret requirements, design solutions, and implement code to meet system performance goals. Writes, tests, and documents error-proof code. Supports continuous integration and continuous development pipeline.

* Complies with government directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
* Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.

* Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.

* Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of cloud tools and services. You understand the benefits of leveraging Kubernetes orchestration.

Requirements:
* Independently perform senior level cloud-native applications analysis, design, development, innovative problem-solving, and integration with custom applications, packaged software applications and other legacy systems.

* Leverage Python, PHP, C#, JavaScript, Java and other languages and technologies to deliver solutions.

* Design and implement new UI components, features, and applications.

* Develop Web Services, Microservices, and APIs architectures as needed.

* Utilize Dev Ops to manage and improve upon build and deployment pipeline.

* Review code change requests to identify potential improvements and to prevent errors, before approving and releasing the code

* Drive the design of major features within the engineering team, by leading design review meetings and ensuring that new features fit into the existing architecture.

* Work closely with product owners to prioritize the features, synchronize on delivery by helping organize tasks within the team and coordinating work with other teams.

* Independent driver / owner of high impact features or initiatives.

* Assessing the legacy system and identifying need for APIs, microservices, database conversions as well as creating these services.

* Propose and implement solutions to modify or enhance system functionality.

* Assist in the transition of system components to new platforms as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience; OR Master's Degree and 6+ years of experience; OR 3 years with PhD. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

* Active Secret clearance.

* Certification Requirement:
Active IASAE Level II certification.

* Requires direct hands-on experience developing, designing, and implementing software applications for a customer.

* Experience architecting, implementing, and deploying cloud native solutions.

* Familiarity with containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes).

* Use Gitlab CI/CD for automated testing and cloud deployments via Helm.

* Direct hands-on experience with development management tools Jira/Confluence/Git Lab and testing tools.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
