Assistant Accountant (Full-Time, Permanent) - Lisburn

An established and growing business in Lisburn is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. What you'll do
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Process journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end procedures
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when required
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Prepare VAT returns and support compliance with financial procedures
  • Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
About you
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills and confident using accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
