Design Manager
Belfast, with travel to construction sites throughout the UK and ROI
We are hiring for our client, a leading construction organisation, seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager to take ownership of the design process across major construction projects, working closely with consultants, designers, specialist subcontractors, clients and project teams.

- Manage design development from pre-construction through to project completion
- Appoint, manage and monitor consultants, designers and specialist subcontractors
- Develop design programmes and Information Release Schedules
- Review and coordinate design information, ensuring compliance with specifications and statutory requirements
- Chair technical and design meetings and manage RFIs, approvals and drawing control
- Monitor Planning, BCAR and BREEAM requirements
- Provide technical and commercial support, identifying design risks, value engineering and opportunities
- Support tender submissions, client presentations and project handover documentation
- Promote safe, sustainable and innovative design solutions
- Degree/Postgraduate qualification in construction or design, or equivalent
- 3+ years' construction project experience, including design management responsibilities
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and design information
- Strong document management and coordination skills
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- CSR or CSCS card
- BIM/AutoCAD, professional membership and SMSTS/SSSTS are desirable
