An inclusive Greenwich primary school is seeking a resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils across the school who present with behavioural and emotional needs. This is a key role within the school's pastoral and inclusion team.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide targeted one-to-one and in-the-moment support, help pupils regulate emotions, and support reintegration into the classroom following incidents. You will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, and the SENCo to implement behaviour and support plans.
The Ideal Candidate- Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour
- Is confident de-escalating and managing difficult situations
- Understands trauma-informed and restorative approaches
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Remains calm, consistent, and professional
- Strong pastoral leadership and clear behaviour systems
- Ongoing training and professional support
