Layer‑de‑la‑Haye Primary School is looking to appoint a Part‑time SENCO assistant to join our team. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, approachable, and committed to supporting pupils with SEND. The post is largely office‑based and involves liaising with professionals, coordinating One Planning, monitoring interventions, and working closely with pupils and families. An understanding of SEMH and a willingness to support pupils sensitively and professionally are essential.
This role is for 30 hours per week, term time only, 8:45 am‑3:15 pm Monday‑Friday.
Grade:
Pay scale 3‑4 within the point range 5‑8 (depending on experience)
- Be calm, caring and adaptable
- Have experience in supporting pupils with SEND and be willing to train further in this field
- Understand that behaviour is a form of communication
