Overview

Salary: £22.58 - £34.91 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on qualifications and experience.

This is an opportunity for suitably qualified energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Lifelong Learning team – Potensial in Conwy and Denbighshire. The successful candidates will be able to respond to community demand, support economic recovery, and promote a culture of lifelong learning.

• Lead Teaching Assistant Delivery: Provide high‑quality teaching for Teaching Assistant courses from Level 1 through to Level 3, creating opportunities that enable learners to transition successfully into school‑based roles.

  Basic Skills:
  
  Teach literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy from Entry Level to Level 2, either as standalone sessions or integrated into vocational pathways.
• Adapt to Sector Needs: Support the wider Lifelong Learning provision by delivering other specialist subjects (such as Employability or Business Administration) as required to meet community demand.
• Drive Regional Growth: Help develop and expand the Lifelong Learning footprint across Conwy and Denbighshire.

Holiday Entitlement: Pro‑rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), including pro‑rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro‑rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (subject to change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro‑rata full‑time equivalent entitlement of 46 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.

Working Pattern: Up to 16 hours per week available, part‑time, hourly paid contract. Work pattern to be agreed dependent on availability but could include evenings and weekends. Subject & level of delivery are based on qualifications and experience. An additional percentage (10%–63.33%, subject to criteria) will be applied to the contracted hours worked to reflect preparation and marking.
