Electrical Design Engineer

Hayward Hawk are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing M&E consultancy based in Banbridge, as they seek to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to support a strong pipeline of projects across Northern Ireland, ROI and Scotland.

This role offers genuine project ownership, close collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to work in a hands-on, close-knit consultancy environment.

The Role As Electrical Design Engineer, you will take a lead design position on live projects, managing electrical design from initial concept through to site delivery. Current work includes a large-scale hotel upgrade, with ongoing projects in the hospitality and refurbishment sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading electrical design on multiple projects Producing electrical designs from initial concept through to detailed design Day-to-day site programming and management Working closely with Mechanical Engineers across NI, ROI and Scotland Producing drawings using AutoCAD Supporting design work in Revit for areas such as plant rooms and switch rooms (knowledge beneficial, not essential) Involvement in lighting and lighting control design. Acting as the main technical point of contact on site.

What Were Looking For 56 years experience in a design consultancy or contracting environment Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Revit experience advantageous but not essential Hotel planning and design experience highly desirable Candidates who have progressed from a tools or site-based electrical background into design are strongly encouraged to apply Comfortable taking ownership of projects and managing day-to-day site activity Working Environment & Culture Based in Banbridge Monday Thursday: 9am5pm | Friday: 9am4pm Flexible approach to working hours Travel required across project sites Working within a small electrical design team as part of a 17-person consultancy Direct reporting line to an Associate Director Directors remain hands-on and actively involved in project delivery Strong work hard, play hard culture with a genuinely tight-knit team environment Office facilities include:
