Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world.  We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.

Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

As part of our current high‑growth phase, we are seeking a Materials Technician to support Evolito’s Materials Engineering team. In this role, you will prepare and test parts and samples to investigate the behaviour of materials and components, as well as manage the day‑to‑day operations of the materials laboratory.
* Key responsibilities will include:
** Perform mechanical, chemical, and physical tests on raw materials and finished products
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., tensile tester, grinder/polisher, microscopes)
* Record and interpret test data, ensuring accuracy and traceability
* Prepare detailed test reports and maintain laboratory records
* Manage the efficient operation of associated workshop, lab and storage areas
* Construct and safely use simple test fixtures when required for investigation of the behaviour of materials and components
* Practice and promote personal workplace safety and that of others
* Ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, or other relevant standards.
* Skills and experience required:
** Previous proven experience working in a relevant sector, such as aerospace, materials testing, automotive, or scientific research
* Knowledge of material properties (metals, polymers, composites)
* Familiarity with testing standards (ISO, ASTM)
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
* Consistent attention to detail and accuracy in all areas
* A flexible, collaborative and ‘can-do’ attitude
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
