Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit a Quality Engineer for their Lisburn-based operation.
Our client is open to considering both experienced candidates and high-calibre graduates from Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Physics backgrounds who have gained relevant industrial experience through employment or a placement year.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career within a highly technical manufacturing environment, working across Engineering and Manufacturing to investigate quality issues, improve processes and contribute to the delivery of high-quality products.
- Investigating quality issues, defects and non-conformances across manufacturing and engineering processes.
- Carrying out root cause analysis and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Supporting containment activities and fault investigations.
- Working closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve product and process quality.
- Monitoring and analysing quality data and metrics.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
- Assisting with product inspection and the investigation of faults.
- Supporting quality activities relating to process changes and new product introduction.
- Working across teams to identify opportunities to reduce defects and improve overall product quality.
- Supporting the maintenance and development of quality procedures and standards.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or a closely related discipline.
- Graduate and early-career candidates will be considered.
- Relevant industrial, manufacturing or engineering experience would be highly desirable.
- A university placement year within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- An interest in Quality Engineering, manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Good attention to detail.
- Comfortable analysing information and working with data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
