Audit Semi Senior - Financial Services Specialist

£30,000 - £45,000 DOE | Central London | ICAEW Accredited | Full ACA Support

I'm working with a boutique accountancy practice seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join their specialist Financial Services team. Build niche expertise in Wealth and Asset Management whilst completing your ACA qualification.

  - Build valuable expertise in Financial Services audit including CASS audits

  - Work closely with Partners, genuine mentorship and accelerated development

  - Regulated Wealth Managers, Asset Managers, and FCA-regulated entities
• Full ACA support
  - ICAEW accredited with comprehensive study package, exam fees, and study leave
• Clear progression
  - Realistic pathway to Audit Senior within 12-18 months

• Lead sections of audit fieldwork on Financial Services clients
• Perform substantive testing including complex financial instruments and regulatory capital
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to audit strategies
• Prepare high-quality working papers to ISA standards
• Build client relationships as day-to-day contact
• Exposure to UK and international group structures

• Assist on CASS audits for FCA-regulated firms
• Develop understanding of client money and custody asset regulations
• Test controls over client assets and regulatory compliance

• Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102 and IFRS
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Supervise and coach Audit Trainees
• Contribute to technical knowledge sharing

• 1-2 years' audit experience in practice
• Currently studying ACA or ACCA
• Solid technical knowledge of audit methodology and FRS 102
• Experience preparing statutory accounts
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in audit software (CCH preferred) and Excel

• Exposure to Financial Services clients
• Knowledge of CASS regulations and FCA requirements
• Experience with IFRS and group audits

• Competitive salary £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
