• Lead the financial planning and analysis functions, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls, minimizing financial risks.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, including board members and investors, to communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Lead audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial management, incorporating relevant changes into the organization’s financial strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.

• Experience in the recycling or sustainability sector is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Previous experience in managing audits and working with external auditors.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements in the UK.
