Salary: £13.15 per hour

Hours:

24‑hour & 36‑hour contracts available, 7‑day cover

Role Overview

Support Assistants are required to work flexibly and be available to work unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis. The role requires providing person‑centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in a 24‑hour intensive support service environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist service users with activities of daily living and facilitate inclusion in a range of activities.
  • Support service users with identified personal care and support needs.
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum of 6 months caring experience (paid employment or personal caring responsibilities).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including numeracy.
  • Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities.
  • Demonstratable understanding of behaviours that challenge.
