Do you have the skills and experience to manage,support and motivate a team to deliver excellent learning opportunities and achieve targets?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivatedandpassionate Area Manager to develop,planand schedule our high-quality learning, skills and training commercial offer to residents and businesses.
This is a new opportunity to help shape and develop the offer with the autonomy to design and build a programme that is compliant with commercial rules of engagement and compliments our funded adult learning provision. The hub of our commercial offer will be Cottingham Adult Learning Centre, at which the post will be based.
In this role, you will also line manage a team of sessional staff, motivating and inspiring them to achieve targets, both financial and quality driven and ensure that course delivery is within budget and scheduled to maximise use of our commercial hub and our other learning sites, including our Mobile Adult Learning Centre.

As part of the interview process, we will invite shortlisted candidates to first visit our Cottingham Adult Learning Centre, take a tour of the facilities and meet the team. We hope this will inspire you to plan how you would deliver a commercial offer that stimulates enthusiasm and growth within the community and further afield. This will be followed by an interview in which you can present your plan for how you would develop our commercial offer.
Whilst we have indicated potential dates (visit to centre on 24 March 2026 and interview on 31 March 2026), we will try and be flexible to accommodate requests.
