As Transport Operations Director, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all transport activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering a transport strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Leading transformation initiatives to optimise the transport network, improve service performance, and reduce costs.
• Forecasting future capacity requirements and identifying investment needs.
• Overseeing daily transport operations to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, regulatory frameworks, and safety standards.
• Managing fleet strategy, including procurement, utilisation, and maintenance, with a focus on sustainability.
• Implementing advanced routing, planning, and transport management systems.
• Leading and motivating the transport team to foster a high-performance culture.
• Managing the transport budget, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
• Supporting commercial evaluations, bids, tenders, and customer solutions with transport expertise.
• Driving innovation through digital tools, automation, and real-time visibility solutions.
• Leading sustainability and carbon-reduction initiatives within the transport function.
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• Representing the transport function at senior leadership forums.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a senior transport or logistics leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, compliance, and safety standards.
