Datum Tool Design is a leading precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth and increased production demand, we are seeking a reliable and skilled CNC Operator to join our team at our Lisburn facility.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, clean, and well-equipped machining environment producing precision aerospace components to the highest industry standards.

• Set up and operate 3 & 5-axis CNC machining centres
• Load and run proven CNC programs
• Carry out tool changes and offsets as required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
• Ensure components meet strict tolerance and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work closely with programmers and quality personnel

• Previous experience operating CNC machines in a precision engineering environment
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection processes
• Strong attention to detail
• Good work ethic and team-focused attitude
• Experience with in the aerospace sector
• Experience operating 5-axis machines
• Experience operating CNC machines with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls

Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Hours:

• 40-hour basic week
• Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience

Overtime available as required.
