CNC Brake Press Operative

ASSA ABLOY Ltd, based in Lisburn, is part of the global ASSA ABLOY Group and a market leader in high‑security door and access solutions. Our Lisburn site manufactures steel and timber doors for commercial premises across the UK and Ireland. We pride ourselves on delivering quality, precision‑engineered products and maintaining excellent production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up CNC brake press machines
  • Accurately bend and form steel components to specification
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Select correct tooling and machine settings for each job
  • Perform quality checks to ensure precision and consistency
  • Work to production targets and deadlines
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment
  • Support continuous improvement within the fabrication team
Essential Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment (minimum 3 years).
  • Working knowledge of PUWER and its application to the safe use of work equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with steel or sheet metal.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment.

Working Hours

39 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 7am–4pm, Friday 7am–12noon
