This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills within a reputable company committed to quality production. The position involves working with various hand and power tools to ensure precise assembly and fabrication of window units, contributing to the overall production process. Responsibilities Assemble window components accurately according to specifications and technical drawings Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during fabrication processes Measure, cut, and assemble materials using appropriate techniques to ensure quality standards are met Conduct quality checks on finished products to identify defects or inconsistencies Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations Assist with loading and unloading materials within the warehouse setting Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or issues promptly Experience Previous experience in a window or facade manufacturing environment.
Practical knowledge of mechanical systems and assembly processes is highly desirable Familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, chisels, etc. Experience using power tools like drills, saws, or sanders is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team setting Basic understanding of measurements and technical drawings is beneficial
This role offers an engaging work environment where attention to detail and mechanical skills are valued. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing team. Conditions of engagement Duration of the project is until at least September 2027 with opportunities to extend Pay rates range between £14.13 and £15.00 per hour depending on level of experience.
Workers starting at the lower rate can be raised to the higher level when a higher skill level is achieved. Overtime is available weekly at time and a half from the end of September. Holiday pay is paid at 28 days per year on an accrual basis. Wages are paid weekly.
