DetailsWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraiser to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about our cause. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising initiatives, engaging with potential donors, and building lasting relationships to support our charity. This position requires a blend of excellent customer service skills, public relations expertise, and a strong understanding of fundraising strategies.
Duties
- Identify possible sources of fundraising in the community, such as: events to attend and businesses looking for a charity of the year.
- Manage, support and develop imaginative fundraising activities.
- Act as first point of contact for all third-party fundraising events and offer support where needed.
- Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters.
- Prepare a ring binder and digital file for each fundraising event, keeping track of key details for the event and how much was raised.
- Provide effective supporter care for both event organisers, volunteers and participants by email, telephone, letter and face to face.
- Take responsibility for sending out resources to fundraisers or arranging collection from the Charity office.
- Coordinate a team of fundraising volunteers, keeping them up to date on key details for each event they are supporting.
- Thank volunteers for their support after each fundraising event, ensuring they feel valued for their contribution.
- Arrange for the Charity administrative volunteer to write thank you letters to event organisers, venues and suppliers after an event has taken place.
- Attend fundraising events regularly of a weekend and evening.
- Prepare regular fundraising reports for Trustee meetings.
- Chair regular fundraising committee meetings of an evening.
Experience
- Proven experience in fundraising or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in public relations and relationship management are essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is mandatory and design software, Canva, advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must hold a full clean driving licence.
- DBS checked, although this will be carried out by CWCF.
