Greentown Environmental Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Crew Supervisor and a General Operative to join our team on a seasonal, full-time contract over the summer months.

These hands‑on roles involve working across a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks, primarily supporting the delivery of an urban grass cutting contract, alongside a range of other environmental and grounds maintenance services managed by Greentown Environmental Ltd.

These roles are initially offered on a temporary basis until 28 August 2026; however,
subject to performance and operational requirements, there is potential for the positions to become permanent.

The successful applicants must possess:
  • A full driving licence (essential)
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar is an advantage

Additional licences and/or certifications (e.g., Trailer, PA1/PA6, Chainsaw) are desirable but not required.

Main Duties
  • Carrying out general grounds maintenance tasks, such as:
    • Urban grass cutting
    • Strimming
    • Power washing
    • Leaf blowing
  • Operating manual and mechanical equipment safely and effectively
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment
  • Following instructions from the Crew Supervisors and Operations staff
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE

For the Crew Supervisor role, additional responsibilities will include supervising operatives on site, allocating daily tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.

Rates of Pay

  • General Operative – £12.21 per hour
  • Crew Supervisor: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience
