An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and collaborative network across four well-established branches in Hertfordshire as an Area Vet Surgeon. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys building relationships across different teams, and wants to work with a group of talented and passionate veterinary professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care.
Each branch has strong Branch Partners and Lead Vets, supported by well-bonded teams of vets, nurses, and support staff who are passionate about what they do. You’ll be part of a region known for its excellent collaboration and community spirit, with vets who have special interests in dermatology, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic imaging. With access to modern facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory equipment, you’ll have everything you need to deliver high quality care and work up your cases to the highest standard.

ResponsibilitiesYou will work across multiple practices, each with its own unique caseload and character, providing a wide range of clinical experiences.
You will mentor and support colleagues, help shape clinical standards, and contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Oversee the clinical workflow and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality veterinary care.
RequirementsAt least 3 years of veterinary experience.
Confidence, enthusiasm, and commitment to high standards of animal care.
The Rota- Full time position
- 4 day week
- No weekends, out-of-hours or bank holidays
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with length of service
- Salary of £68,000 per annum
