In person DINO DINERS is a growing group of distinctive restaurants, each with its own character, from jungle themes and Wild West settings to neon dinosaurs. Our menus cater to children, couples, families, vegetarians and guests with dietary requirements and allergies. Bodenes Diner offers a warm, welcoming setting and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable General Manager to lead the front-of-house team and help deliver an excellent guest experience.

The Role Working closely with the Area Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of Bodenes Diner. You will be a visible presence on the floor, supporting your team, resolving guest concerns and ensuring that service, operational and safety standards are consistently met. Guest Experience and Service Lead the front-of-house team during service and ensure guests receive friendly, attentive and professional service.

Maintain a visible presence on the floor and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Act as the main point of contact for complaints, incidents, accidents and other operational issues. Ensure the restaurant atmosphere and presentation are appropriate and welcoming before and throughout service. Work with the Area Manager to implement and maintain service standards, policies and procedures. Team Leadership and Development Inspire, engage and support team members, creating a positive and hospitable working environment.

Work with the Area Manager to coordinate training for existing employees and new starters. Identify team members with potential for supervisory or management roles and support their development. Lead by example, promoting professionalism, respect and excellent guest care. Attend departmental and general staff meetings, along with relevant training sessions. Operations and Commercial Performance Support the Area Manager in managing day-to-day restaurant operations and ensuring service standards are followed.

Monitor labour and operating expenses to support effective cost control. Contribute to monthly forecasting and month-end commentary. Work with the Area Manager to identify and implement ideas that improve business performance. Maintain appropriate stock levels by monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, including linen, crockery, cutlery and disposables. Help develop and deliver initiatives that increase sales and average spend per guest.

Oversee cleanliness and report repair or maintenance issues promptly. Work collaboratively with other food and beverage departments to share resources and support the wider operation. Health, Safety and Professional Standards Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure the team understands and follows relevant standards. Follow company policies and procedures and encourage the same from all team members. Be punctual, reliable, polite, honest and approachable.

Set a consistently high standard of conduct and professionalism. Requirements At least two years restaurant management experience (required). Good communication and people-management skills. The ability to organise a team, manage competing priorities and respond calmly to challenges. English language proficiency (required). Ability to commute reliably to Lisburn BT28 1LP
