Inspire is seeking a dedicated Relief Team Leader for their Rosewood Court service in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. This role is ideal for individuals already based in the UK with existing right-to-work, as foreign applicants without UK status may find it challenging due to the lack of advertised sponsorship. Offering a competitive hourly rate of £15.50, equating to approximately £29,350 annually for full-time hours, this position provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to community well-being.

Job Description

As a Relief Team Leader at Inspire's Rosewood Court service, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals to live healthy, meaningful lives. Your responsibilities will involve working calmly and confidently within a service environment, ensuring the well-being and purpose of those you support.

This position requires a compassionate and resilient individual who can adapt to varying needs and provide effective leadership to a team. You will be instrumental in fostering connections and helping service users achieve their personal goals within a supportive setting.

Requirements
  • Proven ability to work calmly and confidently in a service environment.
  • Demonstrated compassion and resilience in a leadership capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and person-centred care.
  • Applicants must possess the existing right-to-work in the UK.
  • Competitive hourly rate of £15.50.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact on individuals' lives.
  • Flexible 'as and when required' contract hours.
  • Work within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation.
  • Professional development opportunities within the care sector.
How to Prepare

For Nigerian and African immigrants already based in the UK, preparing for a Relief Team Leader role in the 'Other' category, particularly in social care or support services, involves highlighting your leadership and care experience. Ensure your CV is meticulously formatted to UK standards, emphasising any experience in mental health, social care, or community support roles. Tailor your Linked In profile to reflect your commitment to meaningful work and leadership in challenging environments.

A compelling cover letter should articulate your passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and demonstrate your understanding of UK care standards.

Even though this role does not advertise sponsorship, for those with pre-settled status, family visas, or other existing rights to work, it's crucial to clearly state your eligibility. Ensure all professional references are readily available and consider if any UK-recognised certifications (like an NVQ in Health and Social Care or a DBS check, which will be required upon employment) can be highlighted to strengthen your application.

  • Ensure your CV is in a UK-optimised format, highlighting leadership and care experience.
  • Prepare professional references that can speak to your reliability and compassion.
  • Craft a cover letter that directly addresses the job description and your suitability for a team leader role.
  • Be ready to discuss your existing right-to-work status in the UK.
  • Familiarise yourself with UK safeguarding policies and person-centred care approaches.

Visa sponsorship is NOT advertised for this Relief Team Leader position, and UK-based applicants with existing right-to-work are preferred. Foreign applicants without current UK right-to-work may still apply but should be prepared to confirm their eligibility directly with the employer. If your immigration status is borderline or you are unsure, it is highly recommended to clarify your eligibility with Inspire before submitting a full application.

We'll show you our communities first, then take you to the employer's site.
