Stepping Stones NI is recruiting for a bank of Casual Support Workers to join our team in Lisburn or Newtownards. This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with learning disabilities to develop new skills, build confidence and independence, and work towards their personal and employment goals. The Role Support adults with learning disabilities to participate in meaningful daily activities across Stepping Stones NIs social enterprises. Assist Lead Facilitators with training and work-based activities. Encourage individuals to develop practical skills, confidence and independence. Provide practical and emotional support while promoting dignity, choice and respect. Help create a safe, positive and inclusive working environment. Work flexibly across different social enterprise areas as required.

Communicate effectively with colleagues, participants, families, carers and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and organisational policies. Attend relevant meetings and mandatory training as required. Required Criteria A genuine interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities Have an understanding of how to support adults with learning disabilities A caring, patient, and respectful approach to working with people GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent Desired Criteria Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or working in a similar support role Experience delivering or facilitating training or work-based activities An interest or experience in catering, crafts, creative work or horticulture Skills Needed Building Relationships, Teamwork, Communication, Ability to support clients with learning disabilities and/or complex needs Salary £12.71 per hour
