The RoleAs a Graduate Software Systems Engineer, you will join our Graduate Scheme where you will build technical knowledge across a wide range of technologies, whilst undertaking practical software engineering activities. Specifically, you will develop, maintain and improve software systems, whilst supporting existing systems and applications and contributing to the development of new software solutions from the ground up. You will gather and document technical requirements, research potential solutions and develop prototypes to help turn business needs into practical outcomes.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist the wider IT team to support business needs
- Gain experience across networking, cyber security and hardware infrastructure
To be considered as a Graduate Software Systems Engineer, you will need:
- At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (obtained or expected) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering self‑initiated technical projects outside of academic coursework
- Experience of database schemes such as SQL and No
SQL - Proficiency in a range of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++)
- An interest in Networks and Cybersecurity, as well as cloud‑based solutions
- A full, valid current driving licence
Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm and Friday 8.30 am – 4.00 pm.
