Bus Driver - Visitors Centre Maghaberry, Lisburn £15.03 per hour  £0.70 Prison Allowance | Saturday Rate £22.55 per hour  Allowance 2 Positions Available Are you a reliable and customer-focused driver looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference within your local community? We are currently recruiting 2 Bus Drivers to join the Visitors Centre team at Maghaberry Prison.

This unique opportunity offers the chance to support families, visitors and professionals attending the prison while working as part of a welcoming and supportive team. Available Positions Driver 1 Wednesday & Thursday Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:15pm Thursday: 8:30am - 5:15pm Driver 2 Wednesday, Thursday & One Saturday Per Month Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:15pm Thursday: 8:30am - 5:15pm One Saturday per month (rotating rota): 8:45am - 5:15pm Additional hours may become available to provide cover for annual leave, sickness and operational requirements.

Pay Rates Wednesday: £15.03 per hour  £0.70 prison allowance Thursday: £15.03 per hour  £0.70 prison allowance Saturday: £22.55 per hour  £0.70 prison allowance

The Role As a Bus Driver, you will:
Safely transport visitors and professionals within the prison grounds Provide a friendly, welcoming and professional service at all times Support a positive and inclusive experience for visitors Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle Liaise with prison staff and Visitors Centre personnel Complete required records and documentation Promote health and safety standards at all times Essential Requirements Full clean UK Driving Licence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate empathy, professionalism and sensitivity when supporting individuals impacted by the criminal justice system Health & Safety or First Aid qualification, or willingness to complete within the first 6 months Licence Training Available Applicants who do not currently hold a Category D PCV Licence and CPC qualification must be willing to obtain these within 8 weeks of appointment.

Full training costs will be covered by the employer.
