Summary

VANRATH are assisting a well-established organisation in Lisburn as they seek an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to oversee and enhance staff development across multiple sites. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys coordinating training programmes, supporting teams of trainers, and ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.

What do you need?
  • Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience delivering and coordinating training across multiple sites, including induction, refresher, and role‑specific programmes
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, compliance, and regulatory training
  • Experience managing or supporting a team of trainers and tracking performance metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for record‑keeping, reporting, and creating training materials
  • Confident liaising with stakeholders to ensure training aligns with operational changes
  • Ability to design and deliver bespoke training sessions, including awareness presentations and company‑specific programmes
What you will do each day
  • Coordinate and monitor training programmes across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and support a team of trainers, overseeing delivery of job‑specific and key skills training
  • Maintain and update training matrices, KPIs, and electronic records, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Work with management across sites to update SOPs and training materials in line with operational and health and safety requirements
  • Design and facilitate bespoke training sessions, including awareness and induction programmes
  • Support apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and ongoing development initiatives, including scheduling and monitoring progress
  • Book and coordinate external courses and training relevant to business needs
  • Promote a positive learning culture across sites, emphasising safety, wellbeing, and professional development
  • Perform ad‑hoc HR and administrative duties, including absence tracking, record management, and system updates
