Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Liskeard Hillfort Primary School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and passionate cover supervisor. This role will involve teaching small groups and whole classes, covering teachers’ PPA and leadership release time. In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to foster a love of learning in our pupils, creating an engaging and dynamic classroom environment.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are enthusiastic about promoting healthy lifestyles and integrating outdoor learning into their practice, making use of our fantastic school grounds and local area to provide enriching experiences for our children. You'll play a vital part in nurturing well‑rounded individuals, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Hillfort Primary School is located in the bustling town of Liskeard, 8 miles from Looe and 18 miles from Plymouth. Liskeard has superb transport links, on the A38 and with great access to the main train line to Plymouth in the East and Penzance in the West. The school caters for children between the ages of 4 – 11. Our school enjoys working collaboratively both locally and also with our partner schools within the Trust.

The school currently has 373 children on roll.

At Hillfort Primary School, we aim to provide a positive learning experience for every child, through an exciting and engaging curriculum which will inspire children, foster their independence and develop resilience. We promote active and healthy lifestyles, and have a wonderful outdoor area, that we are constantly improving, to give our children a broad range of opportunities.

We believe that our children have the right to flourish, recognise their own greatness and continually develop as individuals, and feel that this will be achieved through delivering high quality teaching and learning which ensures children engage in a range of learning experiences which are challenging, relevant (to their lives) and meaningful.
