Interviews will be held on Friday 21st August and/or Tuesday 25th August and will take place in Liskeard Library.

Job Purpose

The Digital Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive digital programmes that prepare young people for employment, apprenticeships and further training. Using practical digital skills training, coaching, employer engagement and blended learning approaches, you will help young people develop the digital skills, confidence and workplace behaviours needed for success in the digital sector.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging face-to-face and online digital learning programmes.
  • Support young people to develop confidence, resilience and positive workplace behaviours.
  • Deliver pre-vocational training in core workplace digital skills – including online safety, communication tools, spreadsheets, basic content creation, safe storage and device management
  • Provide pre-vocational training in more specific digital industry skills – including coding, web design and content creation.
  • Develop employability skills including CV writing, interview preparation and job searching.
  • Organise employer visits, guest speakers and work placement opportunities.
  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and promote inclusion.
  • Build positive relationships with employers and partners within the digital sector and other industries that require entry level digital skills for roles.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and learning resource creation.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and quality standards are met.
