Overview

Solar PV Electrician — £50,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Van + Fuel Card. Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.

We have partnered with a UK-based solar O&M company, maintaining multi-megawatt solar PV assets and helping drive the UK's clean energy transition. We are seeking a skilled Solar PV Technician to support the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar sites. The role focuses on safe and efficient maintenance of large-scale ground-mounted solar farms to maximise plant availability and performance.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar PV systems
Fault finding and diagnostics on inverters, transformers, LV/HV systems
Testing and inspection (AC/DC systems)
Thermographic inspections and string testing
Monitoring plant performance and responding to alarms
Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records
Supporting HV switching operations (where authorised)
Ensuring full compliance with UK HSE and electrical safety standards

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Engineering
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Proven experience working on utility-scale solar PV sites
Strong fault-finding ability on inverters and AC/DC systems
Understanding of HV/LV systems
Full UK driving licence
