A well-established, nationally recognised civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their Cornwall-based team in Liskeard, working on a strong and secure pipeline of water sector infrastructure projects.

The Projects
You ll be working on a varied and interesting portfolio of water infrastructure projects, including:
- Water treatment works
- Pipelines and strategic mains
- Reservoirs
- Pumping stations
- Associated civils, earthworks and infrastructure
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you ll play a key role in the commercial management of live projects from start to finish, working closely with operational teams and supply chain partners.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Commercial management of civil engineering projects
- Working under NEC contracts
- Cost control, forecasting and reporting
- Valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Managing subcontractor packages and procurement
- Change control, compensation events and commercial risk
- Supporting project teams to deliver commercially successful outcomes
About You
This role suits a civil engineering grounded Quantity Surveyor who enjoys infrastructure work and wants stability.
You ll bring:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
- Experience working in civil engineering or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Water / wastewater
- Highways
- Infrastructure
- Rail
- Earthworks
- A practical, commercially aware mindset
- The ability to work collaboratively with delivery teams
