Our team in the North and East of Cornwall is looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,000, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, up to £30,000 per year. For further details please reach out to a member of the recruitment team via rec

Main duties of the job

We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service that works with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the adult community team, alongside in-house services that include outreach, hospital, clinical, criminal justice, and a residential rehabilitation facility. You will work across the North and East of Cornwall and your office base will be in the centre of Liskeard.

A driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this position and you'd need to ensure business use is added to your insurance policy.

This is a frontline role at With You, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they are always treated with respect and dignity.

Person Specification Experience
  • We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
  • You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.
