In April 2023, TRATON embarked on an ambitious journey to integrate independent brand Research & Development (R&D) organizations into a single global TRATON R&D organization.
By integrating the capabilities and resources of our brands, we will accelerate the introduction of new technologies and solutions to deliver the most competitive products and solutions to our customers.
We currently have a great opportunity for a Financial Analyst on our TRATON USA’s R&D Team.
In this high‑impact role, you won’t just be crunching numbers — you’ll be driving decisions. From building complex business cases to collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Procurement, you’ll help turn bold product ideas into profitable, real‑world solutions. This is your opportunity to combine financial insight, strategic thinking, and cross‑functional collaboration to influence multimillion‑dollar development programs from concept to launch.
Responsibilities- Finance lead for assigned product programs, supporting different vehicle and powertrain platforms
- Prepare Business Cases to assess financial viability of engineering & product development programs
- Coordinate cross-functionally with various departments, including Engineering, Sales, Program Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality
- Review and report monthly data, monitoring and tracking program status, and collaborate with program teams to resolve issues
- Effectively communicate and formally present the financial status of product programs to senior leadership in brand and Traton forums
- Support financial forecasting, annual budgeting, and longer-term strategic planning processes
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of finance experience
- Master's degree and at least 1 year of finance experience
- At least 5 years of finance experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Sharp analytical and problem‑solving skills with a business‑savvy mindset
- Excellent communication abilities — written, verbal, and executive‑ready
- Talent for turning complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills, Think Cell and Power BI preferred
- Team player with excellent time management and a bias for action
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
