Undergrad Student Employee - Math Peer Tutor

This role supports students by providing tutoring in Mathematics for Everyday Life, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Business Calculus, and Calculus I. Tutors must have completed the courses they will teach with at least a B grade, and be in good standing as a currently enrolled Benedictine student.
Responsibilities- Answer student questions and support learning in the listed math courses.
- Must have completed the course you will tutor at Benedictine University with a grade of B or above.
- Must submit a resume.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from a Benedictine professor who taught you the course; the professor should email their recommendation to mflattum.
Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds. Use of computer screen, phone, and customer service. May require bending or sitting for long periods. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
TrainingAs a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Training will be conducted online or in person as needed.
