Student Employee – Science Peer Tutor

Lisle Campus
Hours per week: 2 hours
Seeking students that have taken and excelled in science courses to provide tutoring for one or more of the following:
General Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Human Physiology, Human Anatomy, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics.
Provide support by answering student questions from science courses listed above.
Required Qualifications- Must have completed the course for which you will be tutoring at Benedictine University with a grade of B or above.
- Must submit a resume.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from a Benedictine professor who taught you the course. Instruct the professor to email the recommendation to clarsen.
- Must be a currently enrolled Benedictine student in good standing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
- May require bending or sitting for long periods of time.
- Comprehensive vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
