The Development Process Engineering Supervisor leads the Manufacturing Development Process Engineering team to drive product design and manufacturing strategies from concept to production, overseeing the global coordination and launch of new products and implementing automated and semi-automated manufacturing solutions across a division with global manufacturing sites.

• Lead and oversee staff in developing end-to-end manufacturing processes that drive innovation in new product development and optimize existing product modifications to exceed customer expectations.
• Provide technical and costing support for escalated, complex challenges, collaborating with marketing, sales, and external customers to deliver effective solutions.
• Facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge across teams and manufacturing plants to implement global best practices.
• Collaborate on and lead global design reviews, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with production objectives.
• Manage process development and partner with tooling suppliers to design, build, and debug manufacturing systems that meet production and volume goals within budget and timelines.
• Continuously identify and review opportunities for engineering system improvements.
• Mentor and evaluate team performance, providing training and cross-departmental opportunities to enhance skills, processes, and overall team capacity.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine departmental methods and procedures while driving recruitment and talent selection.
• Champion operational excellence by driving adherence to standards like TS16949, ISO
  9001, and Six Sigma, while leading Lean/DMAIC and 6S initiatives.
• Support Molex's commitment to TQM, Six Sigma, ISO standards, and EH&S systems by adhering to and promoting established policies.
• Travel internationally to oversee installations and support production activities.
• Drive and lead a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration between Molex's design centers and plants. Identify opportunities and develop plans for mentoring to assist in the training and development of DPE team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within automation or semi-automation environments.
• 1-2 years experience leading projects in a technical or engineering field either as a supervisor or team lead.
• Proven leadership abilities to drive actions, make sound decisions, and guide teams toward achieving goals.
• Strong organization skills that anticipate, plan, organize and monitor workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships and provide clear guidance to team members.
• Skilled in decision-making, with the ability to evaluate problems, consider options, and balance short- and long-term impacts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse global cultures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve success.

• Master's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed synchronous, asynchronous, and flexible (robotics) assembly systems.
• Basic understanding of finance principles as they relate to manufacturing operations.

For this role, we anticipate paying $130,000 - $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
