Position Overview
The Strategy Lead – Digital Strategy & Innovation is a critical leadership role responsible for guiding International Motors’ next phase of digital transformation and innovation. This role ensures that technology initiatives are strategically aligned with enterprise goals and deliver measurable business value. As the Strategy Lead, you will spearhead the planning and execution of our digital strategy (including the DTO 2.0 program) and champion a culture of agility, transparency, and data‑driven decision‑making across both IT and business teams.
You will integrate high‑level strategic objectives with actionable plans (OGSM to OKR conversion), bridging the gap between business vision and technology execution. Ultimately, this role drives an innovative, customer‑centric, future‑ready, and sustainable digital portfolio in line with International Motors’ mission to redefine transportation for a cleaner, safer world.
- Strategic Planning & Alignment: Lead the development and continuous refinement of International Motors’ digital strategy, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives and the company’s vision for pioneering an innovative and scalable digital future. Facilitate annual and quarterly strategic planning (OGSM) and translate strategic objectives into actionable OKRs and key results for the Digital & IT organization.
- Portfolio Prioritization & Governance: Oversee the Digital & IT project portfolio and prioritization process, utilizing data‑driven models and the DTO 2.0 prioritization framework to drive objective funding decisions. Maintain a lean, adaptive portfolio of digital initiatives that aligns with enterprise priorities and responds to changing market needs. Streamline governance processes (e.g. stage gate intake) to improve transparency and accelerate decision‑making.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner closely with business domain leaders, IT delivery teams, and the PMO to ensure cross‑functional alignment of digital initiatives with business needs. Establish strong communication channels and alignment between Business and IT, so that each digital initiative drives tangible business value (e.g. quality improvements, cost efficiencies, enhanced customer experience) in support of the company’s strategic priorities. - Innovation Leadership: Drive innovation across the organization by identifying emerging technology trends and new digital opportunities (e.g. AI, IoT, connected vehicle solutions). Incubate and champion innovative ideas through pilot programs or proofs‑of‑concept, and foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement. Provide thought leadership on how emerging technologies and digital solutions can create competitive advantage and support sustainable mobility goals.
- Data‑Driven Insight & Decision Support: Leverage analytics and data‑driven insights to inform strategy and portfolio decision. Monitor industry trends, internal performance data, and key results to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Prepare and present strategic analyses and portfolio updates to executive stakeholders (e.g. CDIO and ELT), enabling informed, evidence‑based decisions.
- Operating Model Evolution: Champion the evolution of International Motors’ digital operating model toward greater agility and transparency. Implement best practices in lean portfolio management and agile methodology to improve execution speed and adaptability. Promote initiatives that strengthen foundational capabilities (e.g. enterprise architecture, data analytics, innovation processes) and enable effective execution of the digital strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of business development, strategy, marketing, finance, operations, engineering, or management consulting experience. At least 2 years of lead experience.
