We are seeking a Quality Technician who will support our new product and production teams through part inspection, data collection, and measurement method development. This role is key to ensuring that new and existing products meet Molex's high standards for quality and precision.

Location: This is an onsite role based at our facility in Naperville, IL.
To comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations, this position requires applicants to either provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status or be eligible to receive an export authorization (a license) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
What You Will Do- Inspect and measure components using various metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, vision systems, and CMMs.
- Read and interpret part prints to understand dimensions, tolerances, geometric features, and notes.
- Identify and select the most efficient and accurate measurement tools and methods based on part print requirements.
- Support quality engineers and process engineers by providing feedback on inspection methods, part conformity, and potential improvements.
- Document inspection results and assist in data analysis for first article inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final inspections.
- Assist in maintaining calibration and organization of inspection tools and gauges.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities as needed.
- Follow all established quality and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing, quality, or inspection role preferred
- Basic understanding of GD"T concepts (bonus if experienced with them)
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, optical comparators, or CMMs
- Detail-oriented with strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in quality and precision manufacturing
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, including cross-sections, detail views, and notes
- Capable of identifying which measurement tool or method is best suited for a given feature or tolerance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or prototype environment
- A collaborative team player who communicates clearly with engineers, operators, and leadership
- Technical training in manufacturing, metrology, or engineering a plus
- Experience with vision systems, CMMs, or digital measurement software
- Prior work with first article inspections (FAI) or new product introductions (NPIs)
- Knowledge of inspection documentation and reporting
- Exposure to Six Sigma, ISO, or other quality management systems
For this role, we anticipate paying $20/hr - $25/hr this role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
