This position is responsible for developing and executing email, SMS and other communications that align with brand standards and drive student retention, supporting strategic communication objectives for Chamberlain University. The role focuses on delivering personalized messaging and the right time with clear CTAs that connect students with various resources throughout their student journey. The position will ensure the quality and consistency of campaign deployment and support strategies to enhance engagement across all communication touchpoints.
Responsibilities- Define, create, edit and execute necessary communication vehicles such as newsletters, email communications, SMS campaigns and other communications content.
- Work with internal teams to implement coordinated and planned communications and to provide feedback to ensure consistency of messaging, alignment with defined institutional objectives and brand guidelines.
- Incorporate and proliferate a consistent brand message across all internal communications initiatives. Liaise with stakeholders institution‑wide to optimize the intake and development process thereby improving turnaround times while maintaining high quality standards.
- Perform quality control checks on all outgoing communications to ensure accuracy, functionality, and flawless execution.
- Analyze communication initiatives to determine the best ways to optimize future efforts.
- Set up and execute campaigns using marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Drips or similar), ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Monitor campaign performance using KPIs such as engagement rates, opt‑outs, and retention impact to inform future strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to student communications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, journalism required or related field;
Master’s Degree preferred. - 7+ years of experience in related positions or previous experience managing internal marketing staff/team and experience working with third‑party agencies.
- Well‑developed writing/journalistic and project management skills.
- Strong background in creating and implementing high‑level communications plans.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to collaborate with a variety of colleagues across the organization.
- Strong organizational, logistical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $61,720.78 and $. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. The position qualifies for the following benefits.
