Green Trails Animal Clinic is a progressive, two‑doctor small animal practice providing high‑quality, compassionate veterinary care to pets in Lisle and the surrounding communities. We deliver comprehensive veterinary care supported by a collaborative and client‑centered team. Position Overview

The Veterinary Assistant plays a key role in ensuring our hospital runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work alongside our doctors and technicians to provide exceptional care to every patient, from routine checkups to complex procedures.

We’re looking for someone who’s motivated, attentive to detail, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a busy setting — all while keeping our patients calm and our team supported.

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgeries
• Safely and gently handle dogs and cats of all sizes
• Prepare and maintain exam and treatment areas
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia under supervision
• Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)
• Support clients by communicating clearly and compassionately
• Restock supplies and maintain hospital cleanliness and organization
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training

• Prior veterinary or animal handling experience preferred (training available)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable, professional, and eager to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic computer literacy (Cornerstone experience a plus)

• Typical shifts:
  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 AM–5 PM, Wednesday 8 AM–2:30 PM, alternating Saturdays 8 AM–noon.

Pay Range: $16–$21.50 USD
